The St. Louis Oracle Users Group (SLOUG) is an independent, non-profit organization with the goal of bringing the area’s Oracle users together.

We promote education, discussion and networking opportunities for users and administrators of Oracle databases and related products. Led and run entirely by volunteers, the group is a cost-effective, relevant, fun way to keep informed of the latest Oracle technologies.

Meetings are held in February, April, June, August, October and December. They are from 1pm to 4pm on the second Thursday of the month at Oracle’s office in Chesterfield, Missouri. The format and presenters range from open roundtable discussions to member presentations to outside technical speakers. Volunteers to present to the group as well suggestions for topics are always welcome.

The major conference each year is referred to as the “Big Bash”. This is an all-day meeting held at a local hotel conference center in the fall. The presenters are nationally and internationally recognized experts in Oracle. Previous presenters have been Tom Kyte, Cary Milsap, Tim Gorman and Karen Morton. This is a great educational opportunity to learn from the best and spend the day networking with peers.
